Coronavirus: DR Congo records 333 deaths, 11,585 recoveries

Kinshasa, DR Congo, December 1 (Infosplusgabon) - Since the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) on 10 March, this year, the DR Congo has recorded 333 deaths and 11,585 recoveries, an official source  said on Monday.

 

 

The daily bulletin released by the technical secretariat of the national multisectoral committee of response to the COVID-19 pandemic, however said the country had so far recorded 12,772 confirmed cases, comprising 12,771 cases confirmed in the laboratory and one probable case.

 

It said 70 new confirmed cases were recorded Sunday in DR Congo on a sample of 189 tests carried out, including 67 in Kinshasa and three in Tshopo, North-East DR Congo.

 

No new patient got out of the coronavirus treatment centers or among patients followed-up at home.

 

Twenty-two out of the 26 provinces of DR Congo have been affected by the epidemic.

 

The most affected are Kinshasa (9,728), North-Kivu (1,178), Central Kongo (548), High-Katanga (380), and South-Kivu (354), Ituri (183), Lualaba (134), High-Uele (92), and Tshopo (72 cases).
