Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, April 7 (Infosplusgabon) – The young Burkinabe, Cheick Ahmed Al-Hassan Sanou, allias Iron Biby, was on Saturday crowned world champion of ‘log lift’ after lifting 220 kg, breaking therefore the world record of his category, official sources said on Sunday.

"Our compatriot Iron Biby (27) is a good example to follow. He has just won the ‘log lift’ world champion title by lifting 220 kg,” said Burkina Faso Prime Minister Christophe Joseph Marie Dabiré.

“Each of us must be a national flag bearer to make the colours of our country shine all over the world. He therefore becomes the strongest man in his category. I present my sincere thanks to that young sportsman who made the pride of all Burkina Faso,” added Dabiré.

Sanou, 1.90 meter tall, 180 kg in 2018 lifted 213 kg.
