Algiers, Algeria, March 15 (Infosplusgabon) - Algerian Prime Minister Noureddine Bedoui said in Algiers on Thursday that preparations for the inclusive national conference will begin immediately after "the establishment of the new government".

Speaking at a press conference in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Ramtane Lamamra, Mr. Bedoui said that the modalities of the conference will be defined taking into account the opinions and proposals of all to establish the ''priorities''.

He indicated that consultations are underway to form a government of technocrats, "representative of all skills and energies, especially young people, and able to contribute to the success of the transition phase not to go beyond a year, so that we can realise all the aspirations of the Algerian people".

Mr. Bedoui affirmed that he will do his utmost and work sincerely "to live up to the aspirations of the citizens and the responsibility of his mission".

"The doors will be open to all, we will talk to everyone and work with everyone without exception," he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Ramtane Lamamra reiterated Algeria's "categorical rejection" of any interference in its internal affairs.

Algeria ''is a large and influential state that has played international leadership roles while establishing partnerships with many countries, large and small, and everyone aspires for Algeria to continue to play its role both at the regional and international levels", added Mr Lamamra.

Algeria has seen waves of protests since ailing President Abdelaziz Bouteflika announced that he would seek a fifth term in the 18 April election.

But this week, he withdrew his his candidature and postponed the election. However, the population is still unhappy about the political situation as they wonder whether the 82-year-old president will seek to stay in power after 18 April.
