Nairobi, Kenya, November 14 (Infosplusgabon) - A Kenyan country governor, currently out on bail over a murder charge, was arrested Wednesday after police found eight guns in his various residences.

Governor Okoth Obado of Migori County in western Kenya was arrested for questioning over guns found in his Nairobi and Migori homes.

Obado was picked up while leaving Hilton Hotel in Nairobi, where he was attending a meeting with Deputy President William Ruto and diplomats.

The guns were found in his houses by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives searching for evidence in a corruption investigation.

A senior investigation official has told journalists that the governor was being questioned over eight guns that were found in his house when EACC detectives raided it on Tuesday in search of evidence in a corruption investigation.

Obado is accused of killing his lover, Sharon Otieno, and her unborn baby.
