Kaliningrad, Russia, June 16 (Infosplusgabon) - Nigeria, the three-time African champions, will begin their quest for glory at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia with a Group D tie against the Croats on Saturday at the Kaliningrad Stadium, Kaliningrad.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has stated that his team’s mission at the 2018 Fifa World Cup is to make Nigerians happy with results, attitude and game style.

The Super Eagles will be aiming to go beyond the second round at the global tournament since their maiden appearance in 1994, with a youthful squad, the coach said.

Nigeria are paired with Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D, and Rohr has assured that his squad are out to put smiles on the 180 million Nigerians with their approach to games.

The other Group D match on Saturday is between Argentina and Iceland at the Otkrytie Arena in Moscow.

Also playing on Saturday are Group C teams - France vs Australia at the Kazan Arena; and Peru vs Denmark at the Mordovia Arena in Saransk.
